We continue to report testimonies written by our Irvine-sent and Irvine-related trainees regarding their enjoyment and experience in the FTTA for the encouragement of all the saints.
Dear Friends and family,
We have arrived at the second half of the term. Midterms are over, thus bringing us into a fresh start!
A highlight of my term so far has been the blessing of the Lord upon my team. Through His mercy and our prayers, our team has baptized four new ones this month, three on 10/13 and one on 10/14. Anaheim had a gospel meeting on Saturday the 14th, and the three brothers whom we invited decided to get baptized that night. The next day, we visited one of the brothers who got baptized the previous night. There, he and his friends (who also got baptized the previous night) invited another friend. This new friend also desired to get baptized. There was a pool in the backyard, and we decided to baptize him there and then! I don’t think we did anything, except invite them, visit them, and pray for them. The Lord is the One who led us to these ones and He did the rest. Moreover, we are praying for a sister to get baptized and get connected to the saints via a home meeting.
As different, exciting, and jaw-dropping as these experiences have been for me, this is the normal Christian life, because the Lord wants us to bear fruit. One of my favorite verses is John 15:4-5: “Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
I thank the Lord for encouraging my team with the fruits He has given us. Please pray for us! We desperately need the Lord’s leading in how to shepherd these ones into the church life.
We had our Irvine-sent and –related breakfast this morning! Thank you so much for cherishing us with a yummy breakfast, and care packages! Thank you so much for the snacks!!
Much Grace to you all,
S.C.
